Catatonic
Poetry has been threaded between my veins since I was young btw
I recall mom cursing,
“Oh honey” slipped from her lips;
Haven’t heard that in a while.
She ushered me to the bathroom
My body sluggishly dragged along,
Left hand lightly pressed against the wall.
The heavy thump of my feet
Sounded almost as sickening
As the trail I left behind me
Which drip, drip, dripped
from my fingertips,
And down my limbs.
I yearn for the immortality I felt that night.
Would it make you feel alive too?
Hope you enjoyed reading; this poem is one that I hold quite close to my heart. If you like things like this feel free to subscribe and be devastated with someone besides yourself. Mwah love you.
